Tia Ana

Director – Over 18 years working in childcare

Ana attended Mafalda as a child and would return to the nursery after school. On many occasions she would be found playing ‘teacher’ to the toys in the nursery. Knowing she loved the nursery environment and had an instinct to teach, she went on to college to gain her first qualification in early years. At 18 and level 3 qualified she began her journey as an Early Years Professional.

“I think I probably have one of the best jobs you could imagine. I enter a building every day to the most loyal and appreciative fans. 😊 I come into work and forget everything that is going on in the world, we truly do become a little bubble. I love working in a team, where everyone is valued and has a chance to shine. It is an absolute luxury to be able to see and experience firsthand children’s milestones and growth, knowing we have planted good values, respect, memories and the bonus of a second language is the reason I do what I do.”

Tia Susen

Founder – Over 40 years working in childcare

Susen was one of the founders of Mafalda and after so many years of service and experience, it was only natural that she continued working with and supporting her daughter Ana in the new project as Manager of Tia Ana’s. She not only holds a one-of-a-kind experience but also a vast of qualifications and training in the field.

“It has been an amazing adventure and experience to have been able to work alongside my sister and now my daughter. The most gratifying and warming thing I can say about my experience is the joy of meeting past nursery students, now as adults still remembering their time with us in the nursery and bringing their own children to Tia Ana’s”

Tia Geovanna

Senior – Early Years Professional 

Geovanna’s love for children has always been one of a kind and when her uncle, Jairo started working at Tia Ana’s she met Ana at a fundraising event that the nursery held in 2015.

As Ana saw her enthusiasm and interest to start a career in the field she offered her the opportunity to gain her qualifications and work at the same time. As a single mum of two this was the perfect combination to achieve her dream and still take care of her family.

Ever since she started with a level 2 diploma in childcare and now has level 3 and English & Maths qualifications.
