Opening

Tia Ana’s Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, except for bank holidays, (this will also include Good Friday and Easter Monday) and two weeks in December. Throughout the year there will also be Staff Training/Administrative Days that may require closure of the nursery. Parents will be notified of the year’s calendar at the beginning of the year. The manager reserves the right to alter opening and closure times according to the needs of the Nursery.

On accepting the place for your child, a deposit of two weeks fees and £50 administration fee will need to be paid to the nursery to guarantee the place and start date.

Once the nursery receives this payment we will arrange for the contracting parent(s)/ guardian to come in or hold a virtual induction before the agreed start date.
The deposit must be for the full amount of the intended days, discount from grants do not apply to the deposit or notice weeks.
You will be given a copy of the parent handbook.

Tia Ana’s settling in procedure

Once your child is registered with us, parents can discuss the contents of the Terms and Conditions with the Head of the Nursery. The induction process described here is of compulsory nature, since not all parents are in the position of having sufficient time the induction period can be tailored to suit individual needs and ensure the parent does not miss out on the process.

Where possible and outside of COVID 19 restrictions, you will join the manager or office coordinator to go through your child’s profile information and discuss the details and information in this document and any questions you may have. During the induction, your child will join our morning circle time session where they will have the opportunity to meet all members of staff and children. Your induction will take place over the phone if/when we are following COVID 19 restrictions.

child will be invited to attend 1-2-1 settling days,

on the first settling in day your child will stay with us for 1-2 hour, on the second day they will stay for lunch, we will increase gradually each day after based on how your child copes with the new environment.

This is to be used as an example and can be adapted to the needs of the children and family, all children are different and therefore may need a different approach to the one above.

On your child’s start date, he/she will be given his or her own peg with a bag for spare clothes in the cloakroom area and if required a draw for their nappies etc.

Meals

The nursery provides freshly prepared homemade meals, fresh fruits, and salads for the children. The menu will be available for parents to see daily on the outside message board or sent via email. The nursery will meet any dietary requirements. The parent does not need to provide any meals unless it is medically necessary (i.e., Non-dairy milk) or if your child takes formula milk.

Please note

that in the case that fees change for your child, e.g. after turning 3 or eligible for grant, there will be no grant deductions made from the deposit. The deposit will be used to cover 2 weeks of childcare in the notice period, we will uphold its value for days even if there have been changes to the fees schedule.

All fees are charged / calculated on 50 weeks a year – we close 2 weeks in December so we can carry out any required maintenance work at the nursery.

Fees are payable by standing order on the 1st Monday of each calendar month or each Monday in advance of the week.

Nursery Education Grants have been deducted to cover childcare for 50 weeks of the year.

Fees are not re-fundable for Bank holidays, inset days, sickness or holiday.

A 10% sibling discount is applied to the eldest child whilst enrolled at the nursery at the same time. This discount is only applied when both children are not entitled to any grants.

If payment is not received in full minimum of a full 2 weeks’ notice is required in writing via email for cancellation of your child’s place. (latest 6pm of the Friday before you would like the notice to begin).

The following charges are applicable for all children:

Non-Refundable Registration Fee of £50.

Late Fee Payments of £20 per day. Please note that if fees are in arrears of 7 working days after the due date, your child’s place will unfortunately be withdrawn from the nursery without notice.

7 working days after due date the nursery will be forced to use the deposit to cover the debt, if the deposit does not cover the full amount, we require payment to terms. Payment must be made on time, in full, and without any deduction, set off or counterclaim. If the account continues to be outstanding, we will refer the matter to our debt collection agents, Daniels Silverman Limited, which will incur further costs. Any costs incurred to collect the debt will be added to the debt, plus VAT at the prevailing rate. You agree that you will be legally liable to pay us that surcharge, and that payment of the same can be enforced against you in court.
